May 22, 2010, Madrid, Spain. The two teams – the Italian Inter and the German Bayern Munich meet in the final. Who will win: Inter that hasn’t won the cup since 1964, or the Bavarians that have lost in the final game 10 years ago?
Both teams are in the top of their national league competitions and have demonstrated some excellent game in the Champions League.
Inter: Inter’s coach Jose Mourinho has proved that Inter can achieve great results, if they are determined and dedicated to the game. Inter has won the Italian cup in the recent years and has been able to proceed to the finals in the Uefa Champions League after 40 years. Mourinho has been able to create a team that can understand each other and effectively cooperate to achieve their goals. Also, if Inter wins the cup,it will be the first coach to win the Champions league with two different teams.
Inter also has excellent players that are able to lead the team and can decide the outcome of the match any minute. Welsley Schneijder, Diego Milito, Dejan Stankovic, Samuel Etoo and the goalie Ceasar have showed eccellent skills and can lead their teammates. Will they be able to help inter bring the trophy to Italy?
Tiago Motta, who has been suspended for getting a red card in the semifinal game with Barcelona, will misst the fianl match. Ohter than that, Intermilano doesn’t have any major losses.
Bayern Munich:
Bayern has played some excellent football as well. Especially the dutch playmaker Arjen Robben, who has scored fantastic game-winning goals versus Manchester and Lyon. Bayern is also hungry for the victory in this important match. Bayern was in the final in 1999 vs Manchester United, when they were winning the game, however in the last two minutes Manchester scored two goals winning the game 2-1. Since then, Bayern hasn’t made it to the finals and is ready to take on a huge challenge such as Inter.
Bayern’s forward Ivica Olic has also been on fire. He has scored a hat-rtick versus Lyon, making his goals to 7, just one goal behind the top scorer Messi.
Bayern also has a huige suspension: Frank Ribery, the moving force of Bayern Munich – their leader and the playmaker.
This game will greatly affect both team’s reputation and increase the demand for the players.
